THE WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION'S MEETING.

GREYTOWN. March 4

The above meeting was concluded at the Papavvai range to-day. Most of the visiting shooters have now left for Trentham. In winning the aggregate Sergeant F. 11. James, of the Napier Guard*, holds Mr J. 0. Bidvvill's Challenge Shield for the next twelve months,'he also wins a gold medal presented by Mr Bidwiil. To-day's matches xesuited as follows : -

Bilby, 5s 62 THE MEETING AT TRENTHAM. by telegraph—rcsss association. TRENTHAM R.R., March 4. Arrangements are completed for the Naw Zealand Defence Force Rifle Association's meeting to-morrow. Five hundred entries have been received, among them being McCalley and Edwards, of Australia. A large number of competitors are already on the ground, and it is expected that the majority will stay in camp. Many improvements have been made in all directions for the comfort of competitors. About two hundred were at practice to-day, despite the heavy rain. The weather is now clearing. The meeting starts to-morrow with the Volunteer and Rifle Clubs matches, after which the first range of the Auckland Match, counting for the Belt, will be fired.
