Dr. W. Butement, of Dunedin, and "jsrmerly of. Masterton, is at present visit to this town. Mr J. © C. Crewe, son of the Mayor of Pahiatua, intends making a trip to the Old Country shortly. Mr G. L. Petersen representative of Wirth Bros., is at present in Masterton arranging for the appearance of the circus next week. Mr D. Crewe, Mayor of Pahiatua, informed a Waivarapa Age representative, yesterday, that he intended to contest the Pahiatua seat at the general election. Mr W. H. Hawkins, an ex-member, also informed our representative that the rumours to the effect that he did not intend to stand for Pahiatua at the election this year were unfounded. .. One of New Zealand's oldest cnlonHBts, Mrs W. Bellingham, died at the "residence of her daughter-in-law, Mrs G. Bellingham, at East Tamaki, on :Sunday, states an Auckland Press Association telegram. The deceased ■arrived with her husband .in the 'Coromandel district in 1838, landing at Hokinnga. She was a great-great-grandmother, being in her 93rd year at the time of her death.
