CARLTON A v. CARTERTON
A match was commenced at Carterton, between the local team and Carlton A. Carterton batted first and commenced disastrously, four wickets being down for seven runs, Moss having an analysis of four wickets .for three runs. Mainly through the efforts of Carroll (63) the score was taken to 109. Moss was almost unplayable, and but for the bad outfield rendering good fielding out of the question, he would have come out with a great average. As it was he wickets for 31. Carlton batting with ten men only made 52 in their innings. Madsen played a good innings for 16, while Swan batted carefully for 12.
