The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report as follows:- We Held a clearing sale of stock, on account of Mr J. Johnson, at Weraite, yesterday. There was a fair attendance of che public, and the fact of the stock being good and absolutely unreserved the public were not slow to operate, bidding for lines throughout being and fair rates obtained, which must be considered as satisfactory when the state of the pastures are taken into consideration. Four-tooth ewes made 9s 7d, 2-tooth 8s Bd, f.m. ewes 5s lid. ' aged down to Is 4d, best lambs 7s, others 6s, 3s, Is lOd, rams £t° l l' g^ ne - s - Dair " of 32 cows averaged £3 ss, young steers 455, heifers 21s to 355, farm mares and geldings £2O to £25, hack and harness sorts £5 to £7. Implements, machinery, tools., and sundries at fair pi ices.
