Assault on a Guard.

FEILDING, February 26

A young man, named Walter Harod, was tu-day charged with offensive behaviour, striking a railway guard and using indecent language on a train from Wanganui to at midnight last night. Total fines of £9 were inflicted, in default one month's imprisonment. The Bench said that accused's conduct was that of a blackguard, and officials must be protected in the execution of their duty.
