SALE OF YATES' ESTATE.
The sale of forty allotments in Yates' Estate will be held at the Masterton Auction Mart this evening. During the last few days quite a number of people have visited the property, and . there is every probability of the snle being a success. In order to provide a suitanle outlet to Cornwall Street, the Trustees purchased an acre and a quarter of land through which Tararua Street is now formed. The balance of the land, after forming Tararua Street, has been sub-divided into three sections, which will be sold at the auction sale this evening, making a total of forty allotments. The additional sections consist of one rood twenty-,six perches at the corner of Tararua and Cornwall Streets, one rood two perches adjoining, and a small residential site of twenty-seven perches on the other side of the road. The latter has a wide frontage to Tararus Street These sections are shown on the plan, although not coloured. The half-acre allotments in the Estate have frontages of 78 feet, with depths of 280 feet, and purchasers will be able to erect residences well back, and leave a'.'.iple room in front for shrubberies and lawns. The Estate is acknowledged to be in an excellent position from a health point of view, most of the allotments are larger than are generally offered for sale in Masterton, and che terms are so easy that the puolic should not hesitate to purchase.
