At Konini, on Monday, Mis 3 Daysh, daughter of Mr H. Daysh, of Konini, was married to Mr Davy, son of, Mr T. H. Davy, M.P. of Chrintchurch. Mr Jacob Marx, a farmer of Mangatoki. has announced that he will be a candidate for the Egmont seat at the next election. It is understood that he will stand in the Opposition interest.
Mr S. Forman, the well-known excoach proprietor of Masterton, left, with Mrs Forman and their youngest son, for the Old Country yesterday, where they intend to spend an extended holiday.
A quiet wedding was solemnised at S. Matthew's Church yesterday, the parties being Mr Horace D. Monk, of Masterton, and Miss Mabel M. Yule, of Pahiatua, youngest daughter of Mr George Watson Yule, of New Plymouth. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr E. Clarke, of Pahiatua, wore a navy blue tailor-made costume and hat to match. She was 'attended by her sister. Mrs Knight, whose dress was of pale blue muslin, with hat to match. The newly-wedded couple left by the express train for Wellington, en route to Nelson, where the honeymoon is to ~<be spent.
