METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind. — Easterly, moderate to strong at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawhia, but northerly moderate to strong thence southward to Hokitika and Oamaru, and northerly strong to gale after 16 hours elsewhere.
Barometer.—Fall everywhere. Kain.—There are indications for rain in Otago.
Warning signal for northerly gale will be exhibited at Nugget Point after sunrise.
