It is believed that Fielder will not play in the next test, owing to an injured arm. The following will represent Australia in the fifth test match against England: Trumper, Noble, Hill, Hartigan, Macartney, O'Conner, Saunders, Gregory, Armstrong, Ransford, Carter. Emergency Rev. Waddy.

CIIRISTCHURCH, February 20
The North and South Canterbury i, cricket match concluded to-day. The scores were as follow: — South Canterbury, first innings, 57; second innings, 131 (Fulton 50, Harper 23). North Canterbury, first innings. 623 (E. R. Caygill 35, A. Jones 67, R. i Reid 55, S. A. Orchard 113, B. B. I Wood 137, A. H. Neild 44, E. E. Crawshaw 61 not out, extras 63).
The team to represent the Napier Wednesday cricketers in the match against Wairarapa, to be pltyed on the 16th March, will be finally selected from the following:—Brownette, Beuth, Boyce, Edlin, Frater, H. Fulton, F. Grange, Gowing, Halligan, Lewis, Lyndon, McCarthy, Pirie, Sinden, Simmonds and Young. Masterton B having forfeited their match against Carlton A, a match will be commenced on the Park Oval to morrow between the Carl tun B and Masterton B teams. The following will represent Carlton B: —A. Hoar, O'Dea, A. Welch, Darvill, Bentley, K. Welch, B. Welch, Aymes, Wickens, R. Welch, M. Welch, Lawrence, Sheppard, V. Williams, Chamberlain.
