A Newmarket candidate (tho name has not been transmitted) did a marvjllou!'. gallop at Caulfiold. Carrying a light weight, it ran six furlong's, with'big shoes on, jn lmin 16& sec. Continuing, it finished a mile in tmin the first half being done in 50J.3ec, and the second in 50sec.
