RAID LEADERS KILLED
BRITISH CASUALTIES
Received February 20, 8.30 a.m. CALCUTTA, February 19. The leaders of the Zakha Khel raids were among those] killed during the British operations. Sniping at the British when returning to camp after destroying the fortified towers at Chinar, resulted in seven being wounded.
AGAINST THE KISII TRIBESMEN.
IGO KILLED AND WOUNDED.
Received February 20, 8.20 a.m. CAPETOWN, February 19. A punitive expedition killed and wounded 160 of the Kisii tribe near the Jake terminus of the Uganda Railway, for attacking Mr Northcote, District Commissioner, and murdering ari Indian trader. The Kisii tribesmen have surrendered.
