METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.— South-easterly; moderate to strong northward of Napier, Taupo, and Kawhia, but westerly thence southward to Hokitika, and Lyttelton; strong westerly to gale elsewhere. Barometer.—Rise slowly in the North Island generally, but fall everywhere else. Warning signal for westerly gale is exhibited at Nugget Point.
