The New Zealanders played a match against the Northern Union representatives, yesterday, and won by 8 points to 5. There were 30,000 spectators present, notwithstanding it was stormy weather.

The Northern Union players pressed throughout the first half. At half-time the score was— Northern Union 5 points New Zealand nil.

The final stages of the game were fiercely contested, the referee having to caution spveral players.

The New Zealanders scored twice jubt before the call of time. The final scores were: New Zealand 8 points Northern Union 5 points.

New Zealand scored two tries and a goal, and Northern Union one try and one goal.
