CRICKET.
HENDERSON CUP. i CARLTON v. CARTERTON. The match between the Carlton •and Carterton teams was concluded at Carterton yesterday afternoon, Carlton winning by 142 runs. The match decided the premiership, Carlton ■securing the Henderson Cup for this S6&SOD The wicket was anything but good, being all in favour of the bowlers. On the previous Thursday Carlton had one wicket down for 43, but the .remaining nine wickets only added 27 runs to the score. Williams and Elliott bowled well forCarterton. Poor as Carlton's showing was, Carterton's was worse. Maunsell and Feast we'-e absent, but the nine remaining barmen only made 21 between them. Mo'ss and Swan had them practically "tied in a knot." Both bowled beautifully. The former bowled 4.2 overs for 5 wickets and 14 runs. Swan's
