Opening of New School at Dannevirke.
DANNEVIRKE, February 12,
The new Dannevirke High School was opened to-day by the Hon. Geo. Fowlds in the presence of a large gathering of people. The building is a handsome brick one, and the. total outlay will run into about £3,000. A commodious technical school is attached.
Mr Fowld's arrived by the express train from .Wellington at 3.15
o'clock, and at once proceeded to the school. Speeches were also delivered by Mr Hall, M.P., and Sir William Russell.
The public were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea in ths builc'ing.
