"PETTY RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE."

KING AND QUEEN AT A REQUIEM MASS.

PROTESTANf ALLIANCE PROTEST. Received February 11, 8.50 a.m. LONDON. February 10. In connection with the attendance cf King Edward and Queen Alexandra at a requiem mass for the late King Carlos and Prince Luiz of Portugal, the Protestant Alliance declares that the Sovereigns' presence there was inconsistent with the King's position as head of a Protestant nation, and a violation of the spirit of the coronation and accession oaths.

The "Daily Telegraph" and "The Times" protest against what they describe as petty religious intolerance.
