A MODERN STRUCTURE.

With, commendable enterprise, Mr J. R.Foster,'proprietor of the wellknown "Foster's Hotel," Wanganui, * has just had completed most extensive additions to his establishment. The additions were made necessary owing to the increase in business, and the house as it now stands can be classed as one of the most up-to-date in the dominion. The building, which is a three-storey one, is constructed on the most modern lineaj and presents an exceedingly attractive appearance. From the balconies of the hotel, ivhich are connected one to the other with spiral staircases," a superb view of the beautiful Wanganui river can be obtained. Th% accommodation is very complete, there being over sixty, bedrooms, all of which are roomy, well-lighted, and beautifully furnished. The dining-room is fitted up on a most elaborate scale, and some idea of its size may be gathered from the fac'-, that 100 guests can be seated at a time. Private sittingrooms, writing-rooms and commodious cummcycial and club rooms are all included in the building: Gas and electric light are both installed, the latter supply being obtained from Mr Foster's own electric plant.. Visitors from the Wairarapa to Wanganui can rely on receiving the best possible attention at Foster's Hotel, which is described as "a home away from home." It is only three minutes walk from the railway station.
