Bush Shanty Destroyed by Fire.
WHANGAREI, February 10. A fire at Houto destroyed a bush shanty, occupied by the men on Mr Brown's contract. The men were working at the time. The cook had left the shanty a few minutes previously. The men lost all their belongings. Mr Brown is a heavy loser. /The total damage is estimated at £2OO.
