METEOROLOGICAL.

At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours : Wind.—Easterly; strong to gale northward of East Cape, Taupo and Raglan after sixteen hours; westerly, moderate to strong thence to Napier; northerly, heavy gale after from tvelve to twenty hours at all other places. Barometer.—Fall everywhere.

Rain.— Probably heavy on the west coast of the south Island, and southward of Queenstown and Timaru, and there are indications for rain generally after about sixteen hours, except between East Cape, Taupo and Napier.
