Increasing interest is being manifested in the training operations of Webb and Tresiclder, who are to row for the sculling championship of the world on the Wanganui river on February 25th. Both men gi out morning and afternoon, their spins being watched by large numbers of people. fc To-morrow morning the scullers go the river for a final polishing. - Webb will occupy the same camp as on the occasion of the. Stanbury match, while Tressider will put up at the Upokongaro hotel. There is talk of promoting a handicap race between Webb, Tressider, Arnst and Ford, to take place on the Saturday following the championship, but nothing has been definitely decided. Judging by applications for hotel and boarding-house accommodation there will be a large friflux of visitors, applications" coming from all parts of the dominion.
