LISBON, February 7. A number of Republican deputies imprisoned under the old regime have been released in Lisbon. Suspended Republican organs are reappearing. They already claim an amnesty for all political offenders, even the naval mutineers. The late King-Carlos'mother is quite prostrated, and is likely to retire to Italy. King Manuel declines to use "any Treasury funds until the Cortes has fixed the Civil List. Thirteen persons arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the recent assassinations have been released. Senhor Franco's father was mobbed. The ex-Dictator left Lisbon secretly, and is proceeding to Paris. He lodged his fortune with foreign banks before motoring into Spain. \yhen Franco visited the palace before his flight, Queen Amelie severely upbraided him. Republican leaders declare that it is their intention to refrain from profiting by the m-esent uneasiness. The remains of King Carlos and Prince Luiz were transported to the palace chapel. Twenty-four servants were required to carry King Carlos' coffin. < Received February 9, 5.15 p.m. LISBON, February 8. It was a heart-rendering scene when Queen Maria Pia, Queen Amelie and King Manuel successively farwelled the dead King and Crown Prince. The coffins" were afterwards laid on inclined planes in the chapel, and the bodies were to be seen through glass lids. King Carlos' face was scarcely changed, but Prince, Luiz's face, Which was disfigured, was covered with a flag.
