Bush Fire in Waiohine Valley.

CARTERTON, February 7. Early last night an enormous bush fire commenced in the Waiohine Valley, on property belonging to Mr Ordish. The flames spread rapidly, arid at nine o'clock the whole hillside was ablaze, and the flames >vere easily visible from Carterton. Two hundred acres were burnt up, and also a great deal of standing bush. The fire is still burning to-day, but no great damage is reported.
