METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours : Wind. —Northerly; moderate *t> strong at all places north of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawhia; westerly, moderate to stroi'g thence to Napier: northerly, strong to gale after from ten to sixteen hours everywhere else. Barometer.—Fall everywhere. Rain is probable from Napier and New Plymouth southward to Cape Farewell and Kaikoura after 16 hours, but earlier elsewhere. Warning: signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Capes Foulwind, Campbell, Farewell Spit and Nugget Point.
