BY TELKGIUPII—I'KESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, February 5. The initial meeting of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing; Club which is to be held a fortnight hence, promises to be very successful. The club has secured 35 acres of perfectly level land adjoining Wonderland, and have laid out a nice; course just under six furlongs in circumference, and two and a-half chains wide. The appointments, which include a stand to seat 1,100 j persons, are nearing completion, and the nominations, which closed yesterday, exceed expectations. The couise is situated at the head of tho Miiamar Val'.ey, and is easy of approach both by ferry staamer and electric cars.
