AN OBJECTION BY LABOUR COUNCIL.

« AUCKLAND, February 6. When the Salvation Army authorities established a home for inebriates on .Bell's Island it was considered that one source of revenue might be the sale of fish caught by inmates. Local fishermen are taking exception to this, and the matter was mentioned at a meeting of the Trades and Labour Council. 'lt was resolved to protest against the Army being allowed to compete on equal terms with private employers.
