METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind. —Easterly; moderate to strong at all places northward of Napier. Taupn, and Kawhia; northerly strong to gale after from 12 to 20 hours everywhere else. Barometer. Little movement northward of Napier and New Plymotuh; fall at all other places. Rain. —There are some indications for rain southward of Westport and Lyttelton. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Nugget Point and will be shown after sunrise at Capes Campbell, Foulvvind and Farewell Spit.
