MINISTERIAL PORTFOLIOS. A QUESTION OF STATUS. Received February '6, 9.12 a.m. LONDON, February 5. At the instance of the Labour party, Mr Barnes (Labour) moved m the House of Commons that the status of Ministerial portfolios remain unaltered until it has been ascertained how far the duties now assigned to the Home, Board of Trade, and Local Government Departments in relation to labour could be grouped under the control of a Minister of Labour.
