MANAGEMENT OF THE MOST FAMOUS LONG-WOOL FLOCK IN THE WORLD.
AUTUMN DIPPING AT RIBY GROVE. Advices to hand from England state that Mr Henry Dudding concluded the autumn dipping of his famous Lincoln flock on Wednesday, December'4th. In England, where sheep scab has not yet been eradicated from the country, stud breeders are always fully on the alert to prevent the introduction of this dread malady into their flocks, consequently only a dip possessing the greatest possible protective powers is used. All the Riby Grove sheep, numbering perhaps from . 1,200 to 1,500 head, and of a gross value of anything from £50,000 to £60,000, were dipped in Quibtll's Powder Dip, of which preparation Mr Dudding states that he cannot speak too highly for killing all parasitic filth, preventing reinfestation, and Jt t improving the growing fleece. - Mr Dudding's verdict as to the sterling qualities of Quibell's Patent Powder Dip is fully endorsed by many of the largest and most sucessful sheep-breeders in this a fact which commends it to the notice of every progressive fiockmaster.
