CARTERTON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Wednesday. The Carterton Methodist Christian Endeavour Society commenced its session in the Schoolroom on Tuesday evening, when there was a large attendance of members. The Rev. W. J. Elliott (President) presided. The subject was "Consecration." An instructive address was given by the President. The following -honorary members have been elected in connection with the Carterton Rifle Volunteers:- - Messrs A. R. Hadfield. W. Moore, W. C. Buchanan, W. Halley and T. P. Firman. It is the intention of the.Rev. S. G. Campton, M.A., Principal of the Clareville Maori College, to visit England at a" early date. Mr A. Peterson, who has been an inmate of the South Wairarapa Hospital, suffering from scarlet fever, was discharged from that institution on Monday last.
