ANNUAL SHOOTING MEETING
lIV TKLKCtnAPH PItKSS ASSOCIATION. DANNEVIRKE, February 5. The first annual meeting of the Ruahine Rifle Association was held on the Dannevirke range on Tuesday and Wednesday, and proved thoroughly successful. About sixty-five competitors took part, including representatives from Wellington, Opaki, Taradale and the districts surrounding Dannevirke. There were eight matches. The results were as follow: — Hawke's Bay Match.—Rifleman Marshall, Pahiatua, 66. Glengarry Match. Rifleman A. Herbert, Pongaroa, 63. Dannevirke Match. -Rifleman M. R. Jarvis, Taradale, 96. Kuahine Match. - Rifleman W. Franklin, 62. Consolation Match.—Rifleman F. Herbert, Pongaroa, 35. Ruahine Shield.—Dannevirke team Champion Teams Match (carrying Armstrong Shield), 450. Grand Aggregate Match.—Rifleman H. Smith, Taradale, 285. Champion Belt.—Rifleman J. R. Franklin, Weber, 220. • Franklin Shield.—Taradale Rifle I Club, 451.
