OLD AGE PENSIONS. EIGHT MILLIONS TO BE PRO- ' VIDED. Received "February 5, 10.45 p.m. LONDON, February 5. The "Daily Telegraph" says that Mr H. H. Asquith aims at setting aside eight millions for pensions with a qualifying age of 65. and a pension of 5s per week. But. the pensions will not be universal, the adequacy of existing incomes being one disqualification. MR BIRRELL'S ADMINISTRATION. OPINION OF THE "DAILY NEWS."
