METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours:— Wind.—Easterly; strong to gale at all places north of East Cape, Taupo and Raglan, extending southward to Napier and Wanganui after 16 hours, but northerly strong to gale elsewhere after 20 hours. Barometer.—Fall everywhere. Rain.—Rain is probable soon northward of East Cape, Taupo and Raglan, and is to be expected elsewhere after about 20 hours.
' Warning signal for easterly gale is exhibited at Cape Maria van Diemen, Tiritiri, and East Cape, and for northerly gale will be nhown after sunrise at Canes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit and Nugget Point.
