"BREWSTER'S MILLIONS."

Mr J. C. Williamson will present the comedy, "Brewster's Millions" for the first time in'Masterton, at the Town Hall, this evening. The idea of the piece is whimsical enough. Brewster has just inherited £250,000 from his grandfather, when his uncle leaves him two millions on condition that he spends the £250,000 within ,a year. The uncle hated the grandfather, and therefore wished his money to be dissipated. He must spend the money in a fair and reasonable manner; without giving great sums away, without reckless gambling, and without either the help or hindrance of his friends, who must not be let into the secret. The way in which Monty Brewster endeavours to spend some £7OO a day provides the hilarious fun and excitement of the piece. The popular young actor; Mr Thomas Kingston, as Monty Brewster, is said to extract every ounce of fun out of the part. It is not necessary to remember the light touches with which he invested the part of Sir John Manners in "Dorothy Vernon" to become convinced that-the character of Brewster will be right into his hands. The.charming actress, Mrs Robert Brough, will also renew her acquaintance with Masterton playgoers. The box plan is on view at Miss Rive's.
