METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr S. Mawley Ditton, Wangaehu, reports as follows The rainfall during January was 52 inches. The maximum fall in 24 hours was .23 inches on the 16th. Last January was the driest January since 1887, when .18 inches of rain was recorded. The average rainfall for January during the past 27 years is 3.42.
