MADISON SQUARE MURDER.
A SCATHING INDICTM2NT. EVIDENCE OF NONE OF INSANiTY. Received January 31, 9.29 p.m. NEW YORK, JaiTuarv 31. The trial of Harry Thaw for the murder of Stanford White, at Madison Square, was resumed yesterday. Mr Jerome, counsel for the prosecution, in a scathing indictment of Thaw's conduct, said that there was plenty of evidence of his depravity, but none of his insanity. The accused sought to shield his miserable life behind his wite's shame. He asked whether a business man like Schwatz, of the Steel Trust, would have played cards with a man irrational or insane? The plea of Mr Littleton, who appeared for accused, was that Thaw was insane before and after the tragedy. The Judge will sum up to-day.
