METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.— Northerly; strong to gale at all places no»*th of East Cape, Taupo and Manukau Heads; moderate to strong westerly thence to Napier; strong to gale northward thence to Kaikoura and Hokitika, but from the westward elsewhere. Barometer.—Fall everywhere. Rain is probable generally. Warning signal for northerly gale will be shown at Cape Maria Vein Diemen, Tiritiri, and Capes Campbell, Foulwind and Farewell Spit after sunrise, and for westerly gale at Nugget Point.
