At 9 a.m., yesterday, Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind. —Moderate to strong from the southward at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth, but from the northward elsewhere; increasing strong to gale after about 16 hours. Barometer. Little movement northward of Napier and New Plymouth ; fall everywhere else. Warning signal for northerly gale will be'exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit and Nugget Point after sunrise.
