OBITUARY.
"OUIDA." Received January 27, 8.33 a.m. LONDON, January 26. The death is announced of "Ouida," the novelist. ("Ouida" (Mdlle. Louise de la Ramee) was born at Bury - St. Edmunds, in 1840. At an early age she began to contribute to magazines, and in 1860 hsr first story appeared in the New Monthly Magazine. The Hot of "Ouida V subsequent works is too long to be re-capitulated here. Her best known works are "Strathmore," "Chandos," "Under Two Flags," "Moths," and "Held in Bondage").
