CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.
PROPOSED CONFERENCE IN MELBOURNE. Received January 27, 9 a.m. LONDON, January 26. Mr Howard Berry, in an interview with the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, discussed the question, of holding a congress of the various chambers in Melbourne. Mr Berry suggested that the whole party should proceed to Canada, chartering a special boat at Vancouver, but the scheme was abandoned owing to the impossibility of business men arranging to travel by one route. *
