LONDON WOOL SALES.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the foUowing cable from their London office, under date of the 22nd instant: —"Wool sales continue firm, with an upward tendency." Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following wool market cablegram, dated the 21st January, from their London agents, the National Mortgage ar.d Agency Co. of New Zealand, Ltd.: —"The wool sales have opened. Merinos and fine crossbreds are firm on a par with the closing rates of last series. Thtre is a large attendance of buyers. For medium and coarse crossbreds the sales have opened weak on a par with the closing rates of last series. The s.s. Matnari arrived too late for this series."
