REGISTRATION MUST BE UPHELD. "MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH TO TRANSVAAL." Received January 24, 5.45 p.m. PRETORIA, January 24. Mr Kissik, Transvaal Minister of National Affairs, speaking at Pretoria on the Asiatic question, said that it was a matter of life and death for the Transvaal, since the Asiatics already numbered one-fifteenth of the population. The registration of Asiatics would be upheld in order to stem a further influx'.
