RED CLOVER.
Wfiv does clover die out? Red ciover is a biennial plant. That is, it..requires two years as a rule before it will blossom and produce seed, When it, has produced seed, like all plants of limited li'e, it proceeds to die. It has fulfilled its mission. How can it be prevented from producing seed? By cutting it much earlier when the blossoms first appear. When har.dled in that way, ever persistent to reproduce, throws up another crop. If that is also cut very early a third crop will be thrown up. "We once saw a field of clover which had teen handled in this way for nine "Hoard's Dairyman" writes, "and the last year it produced three tons to the acre."
