THE MASTERTON AUCTION MART.
The Masterton Auction Mart, the oldest established business of the kind in the Wairarapa district, has an advertisement of interest to the general public in this issue. The firm's record of auction sales for 1907 was 102, every sale being conducted personally by the proprietor, Mr J. R. Nicol. Weekly sales are still held at the Mart, and a specialty is made of outside clearing sales of furniture, the firm having special facilities for the successful conduct of these. During the past two years there has been a considerable increase of business at the Mart, thus proving that clients have been given satisfaction. The Mart is always replete with a good range of leading lines of furniture, and general effects, which are on private sale. Mr Nicol is agent for the South British Fire Insurance Company and the New York Life Insurance Company. The business covers a wide scope, and the proprietor and staff intend to continue to merit increasing trade.
