STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale, held on Friday, as follows:—More sheep and cattle came forward than were entered. Bidding was biisk for all good sorts of sheep, although, owing to the drought, prices were in favour of purchasers. Considering the quality of stock offered, cattle were hard to quit. We quote: 2-tooth wethers 10s 9d to 13s 3d, 2-tooth ewes to 15s 3d, breeding ewes and lambs just weaned to lis 6d, lambs in wool to 9s 2d, inferior lambs 5s 9ci to 7s 7d, aged rams 15s. Cattle —Forward cows £3 ss, cows with calves at foot £3 7s 6ci, weaners (small) 15s. Pigs -Slips from 8s to 15s. No horses were sold.
