WELLINGTON RACES. CUP WON BY MOLOCH. ]'.Y TKliKlilUl'H riIESH ASSOCIATION - . WELLINGTON, January 18. The Wellington Racinir Club's Summer meeting opened in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The Tongariro Hack Handicap, the last event but one, was started before time, and had to be re-run. The first race was won by Suttee, who was beaten in the run-off by Culmination.

The sum of £17,373 was passed through the totalisator, against £25,255 last year. Fifty-two bookmakers were licensed—twenty inside and thirty-two outside.
