We wjuld suggest to-the-Park Committee of the Bououghi -Ctoaaae-il the urgent necessity for providing lifesaving apparatus- at the Ualte. The fine sheet of waiter is becoming more and more use! for bathing and boating purposes tis the summer advances, and fciaeife are occasions whew; large cuwvd's gather on the margia to witness aquatic contests. If anyone unable to swim fell into the- lake where the water is deep, a fatality might result, through the absence of life-saving appliThere parts of the lako, too, that ought to be railed in. The pathway runs along the edg<j of the water, and when there is a crush of people on the;bank, -anyone mighi.be forced into the stream. We hope the committoe will lose no time [-placing life-bolts and lines in suitable localities, and also that they will have railings put along tho most dangerous part of the lake margins.
