(By Cover Point.) 'IHENDERSON CUP. OARLTON v. STAR. The match between the Carlton and , Star teams was concluded on the Park Oval yesterday afternoon, and resulted in a win for Carlton by six wickets and three runs. With two wickets.down for 22, the Stars resumed batting, but were unable to do anything with the bowling of Moss, and were all out for 54. Moss bowled six overs, talcing five wickets for three runs. Five of trie overs were maidens. His average for the innings was 5 for 10. Requiring 81 to win, Roberts and i. Waters went in for Carlton. The score was taken to 32 before Roberts was bowled by Dwyer, after having made ten in good style. Voyce joined Waters, but two runs later the former was bowled by McLean. Moss joined Waters, and' when the score had reached 58 the latter, who had to go to Wellington by train, retired, after scoring 88 by free hitting style. His score included -six 4's. F. Welch followed, and at 73 he was bowled by Isaacs. Swan joined Moss, and when one run was wanted to win, Dwyer smartly caught the former off Madsen. Boyd was next in, and Moss hit Isaacs to the boundary, thus leaving Carlton the victors. Moss played nice cricket for his 21 runs.
