DUNEDIN, January 16. j At the inquest at Po./t Chalmers, today, into the circumstances surrounding the death by drowning of John Taiaroa, on N Year's Eve, resulted in a ve- A<l j ct 0 f accidentally drownecJ *} e ' ,r ug returned. It was evident tbp ic in the darkness Taiaroa either tripped over a line or slipped on the wet de"k when making his way from the stern to the bow of a motor boat in order to reach the landing stage and fell overboard, being carried away by the strong current.
