MASTERTON WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE.
Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our monthly sale of wool, skins and hides and tallow yesterday, when we offered- 40 bales and 100 bags of wool, 1,500 sheepskins, 250 hides and calfskins and a quantity of tallow. There was the usual attendance of buyers and bidding was keen at market rates. We quote as follow:—Wool—Crossbred 5Jd to 7Jd, dead 5Jd to 6d, bellies and pieces 3gd to 4£d, Jocks 2Jd to 3|d, lambs s|d to 6Jd. SheepskinsFine crossbred 7Jd, medium crossbred 6|d, seedy crossbred sd, half wools 5Jd, dead 4Jd to sd, lambs s£d, pelts 4d. Hides—Ox, good, 3£d to 4d, ox, cut and slip 2|d, cow, good 3Jd to 4£d, cow, cut and slip lid to 3d, calf, good 4|d to sd, calf, cut and slip to 3gd. Tallow—Casks 19s 9d,Ui"s 17s 6d, rough fat lis 3d to 12s 9d cwt. Our next sale will be held on February 26th, 1908.
