I hereby appoint the County Office, Masterton, as the place, and noon on Wednesday, the 29th January, 1908 as the time for receiving nominations to nil the said vacancy. Holiday Excursion Tickets, available for return until 15th Feb., 1908, will be obtainable as under (except where ordinary return fares are less) : On 20th, 21st and 22nd January, from Wanganui, Mataroa, Foxton, Dannevirke, Greytown, Te Aro and intermediate stations—to Te Aro, Greytown, Dannevirke, Foxton, Mataroa, Wanganui and intermediate stations, via Wairarapa. Also from above stations to any station on the Wellington and Manawatu Co.'s lino or vice versa. These tickets will be available for break of journey at any station at which the train is timed to stop after 25 miles from issuing station. Train Arrangements for 22nd January. With the exception of the To AroNapier and Napier-Te Aro Mail trains, the 6.30 a.m. and 3.2G p.m. Masterton-Wood-ville trains, the 9.40 a.m. and 6.55 p.m. Woodville-Masterton trains, and the 3.45 p.m. Te Aro-Masterton train, which will run as usual, the ordinary time-table between To Aro and Woodville will be suspended. Other trains, stopping if required at all stations, will run as under: — UP. For Woodville.—Cross Creek dep 8.27 a.m., 3.15 p.m., Featherston 8.54 a.m.. 4.25 p.m., Greytown 9 a.m., 3.50 p.m., Carterton 9.40 a.m., 5.13 p.m., Masterton 10,15 a.m., 6.15 p.m. DOWN. For Featherston.—Woodville dep 7 a.m., Masterton 10.10, Carterton 10.42, Greytown 10.54. For Wellington and Te Aro.—Woodville dep 2.15* p.m., Masterton 7.50 a.m., G* p.m., Carterton 8.17 a.m, 6.30* p.m., Greytown 8.25 a.m., 6.40* p.m., Featherston 8.55 a.m., 7.18* p.m. *Run to Wellington only. A special passenger train, stopping, if required, at all stations to takeup passengers for Trentham only, will leave Masterton at 7 a.m. for Trentham. Wellington Races at Trentharrs. 18th, 22nd and 25th January. Holiday Excursion Tickets to Te Aro and Wellington, available for return until 15th February, 1908, will be obtainable from Woodville, Opaki and intermediate stations on 17th and 24th January, and from Masterton, Greytown, Cross Creek and intermediate stations on 17th, 18th and 24th January. On 18th the tickets from Masterton, Cross Creek and intermediate stations will bo obtaindblo only by the train which leaves Masterton at 7 a.m. and Greytown at 7-34 a.m. On 818 th, 22nd and 25th January, tickets available for use on day of issue only will be obtainable from Masterton, Greytown, Cross Creek and intermediate stations—to Trentham—Holiday Excursion fares on 18th and 25th January (by morning trains only) and on 22nd January by any train. The Mail trains do not stop at Trentham. Admission to Racecourse is NOT included. On 18th and 25th January the usual 9.55 a.m. Te Aro-Woodville train will leave Te Aro at 9.40 a.m., Wellington 9.55, Upper Hutt arr 10.15 a.m. North of Upper Hutt this train will run as usual. The 7 a.m. Masterton-Te Aro and 3.45 p.m. Te Aro-Masterton trains will stop at Trentham for passengers. On 22ud January trains will leave •Masterton 7, 7.50 a.m., Carterton 7.27, 8.17 a.m., Greytown 7-35, 8.25 a.m., Featherston 8.5, 8.55 a.m., and arrive Trentham 10.32 and 11.26 a.m. Trains for Masterton, stopping, if required, at all stations, will leave Trentham 5.45 p.m., Featherston 8.7, Greytown arr 8.37, Masterton arr 9.17 p.m. Goods traffic will be suspended on the Te Aro-Woodville line on 22nd January.
